Summary: Learn how to arrange the tree skirt for an artificial Christmas tree in this free holiday video.
"Ho! Ho! Ho! I'm Matt Cail, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you today how to set up and decorate an artificial Christmas tree. Recall that we put our tree skirt around our tree way back when we were first assembling the base. Now it's time to kind of tidy things up. I don't recommend getting your tree skirt exactly where you want it to be until you get a lot of decorations on your tree because you are going to be moving around in here and you're going to be putting ornaments on it. Even with an artificial tree, it can shed some artificial needles. So that's why you wait until you get to about this point where a lot of the tree jossling is done with. Then, you are going to go through and you are going to clean things up. You can either use your hands, you can use a little broom and dust pan, you can even use the vacuum (just make sure you don't have it on "ultra-suck" setting or you could actually suck up the entire tree skirt and that's not good). Get rid of your trash. Then, after that, this is when we are going to try to kind of make the tree skirt look nice. Make sure it's not hung up on the stand at all. So, to make sure that everything is kind of nice and smooth around here at the bottom, like so. You have a nice circle pattern depending on your tree skirt size, but there's not a lot of wrinkling and bowing. Then, usually towards the back of the tree skirt, you'll have like the Velcro piece, button and stitching. Now is the time to attach that. The only thing I will say is that you make sure that your tree skirt stays several inches away from any lights or electrical sockets so that you don't have a fire hazard."
