Summary: Safety tips to remember when putting lights on your Christmas tree in this free holiday video.
"Hello my name is Matt Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you today how to hang Christmas tree lights. In addition to not maxing out your electrical outlets with your Christmas tree lights. There are helpful other safety tips to keep in mind with your Christmas tree lights. The first one is liquids well they taste great keep them away from your lights. You don't want to have a glass of water or other liquids close to your lights the only fluid that should be anywhere near your lights is the water for your Christmas tree, that is it. Most of the time now a days a lot of the insulation of the lights are pretty good but in general electricity, water, coffee anything like that do not mix. You don't want to get a extra shock on Christmas now in addition to fluids there is the other flip side heating sources. Heating sources you get the brand new hard drive for Christmas you wanted all year long don't plug it right in next to the tree, next to the lights. Again a lot of the over heating of lights isn't bad now a days as it use to be you don't hear quite as much about fires. But let's not risk it don't heat sources right near your Christmas lights don't plug in your hard drive right next to the tree. Make sure that portable heater is not right next to the tree and for goodness sake make sure that your tree is not right next to the fire. Well it looks really really great on Christmas cards it's not for real applications."
