"TONY RAMIREZ: Hi, my name is Tony Ramirez and this is the high-definition movies and players. Video connections, so as I mentioned in the previous chapter, if you want to up-convert or watch high-definition video from your HD DVD or Blu-ray player, you're going to need special video cables. All HD DVD player, Blu-ray players and up-conversion DVD player will have either a DVI, here's one right here, here's another picture of it here, or an HDMI cable, and here's the picture over here. Of course, the HDMI stands for high-definition multimedia interface, DVI is digital video interface. These cables will send a digital signal, a hundred percent digital signal, from your source, which is your HD DVD player, Blu-ray or up-conversion DVD player, to your high-definition TV. This will give you the best picture, the best sound, the best everything for your money. So if you want to watch high-definition content visually, of course, you're going to need either a DVI or HDMI cable and a TV, of course, capable of DVI or HDMI."
