"Hello, my name is Matt Cail on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm here today to talk about trick or treating safety. When your child is going out, they may be clad in a dark costume, it can be a ninja, or they can even be something like a priest or nun, where they're going to be largely clad in black. It's a good idea for them to have some sort of light and because you're only going to have one flashlight, that means other things. I've seen this done through the form of reflectors; some that you might have on your bike. I've also seen it on having white pieces of a costume or even just a full white costume; something that it's more easy to pick up in headlights. I've also seen it in things like glow sticks, which are also really great to provide a bunch of extra light while they're out trick or treating. The light in the glow sticks will last for several hours and it's usually quiet bright especially in dark conditions and it'll be viewable for at least 50 to 100 feet away. So this provides another element to keep your child well lit because you're going to be going through dark areas and while trick or treating is about fun, it's about getting a little bit crazy, you want to make sure that your child can both be seen and everyone can see your child too."
