"Hello, my name is Matt Cail on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'm here today to talk about trick or treating safety. We're almost ready to move onto costume, but before we do, a word about shoes. Halloween and trick or treating is primarily an exercise in walking and it's easy to overlook the fact that if you don't have the most comfortable shoes, you can make for a short night. For example; the shoe over here, looks like it could go very, very well with a black costume. It's also black, it has some steal metal in it, it looks kind of cool. The shoe is not very good for walking though and if little Johnny or Cindy has a costume and they are aditment that they go together because it matches it, they're not going to be very happy if by block two they started developed a nasty blister on the left big toe. Much better is shoes that the child has already broken in and that is proven still the test of time a bit. Shoes that have good arch support, nice, solid and straight and tight lacing, and also a good heel support. With this shoe, a child can walk miles and they're going to be just fine. And that's the important thing in their mind, they're going to want to hit a lot of houses and have a lot of walking and they're not going to want to have to call it early because their foot starts to hurt."
