"Hello my name is Tony Ramirez from Tampa Florida and on behalf of Expert Village these are the optional uses of a playstation 3. Not just playing video games, this is a lot cooler. So you have all this wonderful stuff on your playstation 3. Photos, music, downloaded games, videos anything that you have on your playstation 3. And you want to back it up, or if you want to upgrade your hard drive. This is a possibility which I'll speak about in a further chapter. But you want to back up your existing stuff to put on the new hard drive. This is what you'll do. You'll go all the way over to your settings right. Go ahead and click up to, excuse me, system settings. Once you?re in system settings, go ahead and scroll down, here we go, here we go, down, down, down, down, down to backup utility. So this is what you want to do, you'll go ahead and click backup utility. What that'll, this will ask you to do is if you want to back up your hard drive. Like I said this is a great thing to do, just like a computer things can crash. So if you do have a bunch of sensitive material, things you don't want to get rid of, you don't want to lose. This is a great way to back up. If you?re going to be backing up stuff to a hard drive which of course I recommend something almost as big as the hard drive you have in there. It has to be formatted in windows at FAT32. Remember that FAT32. You plug that up USB into the front of your computer. You go ahead and click backup and it'll actually save all of your data onto the external drive. So like I said this is a great way just to save all your stuff, or if you?re going to be upgrading to new hard drive, you'll want to back it up first before you restore it onto the new hard drive. So that's the main thing you want to do when you're backing up all of your information on a playstation 3."
