How to Set Up WiFi & Ethernet for Playstation 3

"Hello my name is Tony Ramirez from Tampa Florida and on behalf of Expert Village these are the optional uses of a playstation 3. Not just playing video games, this is a lot cooler. So one of the great things about a playstation 3 is its internet availability. On the higher end version you have Wi-Fi built in of course which is your wireless internet. On the lower end version you just have the ethernet port. So you have to run your own Cat5 cable from your router or your modem, directly into your playstation 3. So what you want to do is you just go over to your settings and you can scroll all the way down to network settings. Once you?re in network settings you can pretty much do anything that you?re going to want t do. If you?re going to change your internet connections, wireless connections. If your router, when your using wireless and your router does have some type of security enabled, you will have to enter it in this part. If you have a password, you know of course that's like 12345 or whatever, you'll type all that into here so the playstation can connect to your router which of course can connect online. All your online features are pretty cool. I'll scroll all the way over to our network, which is here. You have of course your internet browser. This is fun of course if you want to actually surf the web you might as well just use your computer. This is, it's just fun and cool that you can do it on here, but it's not the easiest thing to use. Download manager if you?re going to download game demos from the, excuse me, the playstation store. You can do all that here. I am downloading something it's in the background right now. There's tons of other stuff this is just information. This is on the newest update. It actually gives you information about playstation, about the company, about new games things like that. One of the other things you?re going to setup, which I'll show you in a farther chapter, is if you?re going to connect to the PSP, you would do this you know of course with your internet settings. I'll show you how to do that next. The other thing of course is your account manager. If you know you want to set up your support, register your system things like that. And then of course the playstation store. On the playstation store, you know of course it logs onto the net and once it's on you can download full games, demos, videos, movie trailers all sorts of stuff. So this is a great feature that the playstation has with its internet. And you can do this either wirelessly or you can do it using a Cat5 ethernet on your lower end system. But that's connecting to the internet through the playstation 3."
