"My name is William and today we are going to demonstrate thee channel selection knob on your citizens band transceiver. That is the right hand knob which has a one through five position. The one through five position indicates an exact frequency or channel number you may use on your citizens band transceiver. Normally you would pick a common channel such as channel 3 or channel 10 or any other given channel that your other person would call you on. If you are on the wrong channel you will not hear the person that is trying to reach you. You must also share that channel with other users that are on that channel so you need to monitor the channel to make sure that the channel is clear before you transmit and try to reach the party that you are calling. The channel knob once it is set stays locked on that frequency so it will not change. The channel can be selected on a different day to day basis or a different time of the day for transmitting receiving schedule. "
