"My name is William and today we are going to demonstrate the on/off volume control power switch on your citizens band transceiver. That is the left hand knob on your transceiver. You will turn the knob till it clicks to the right to a 10 to 12 o’clock position to a comfortable listening level. This will let the amplifier in the receiver send the audio to the speaker in the radio and you can hear the person who is transmitting to you. The volume control must be kept between the 10 and 12 o’clock position to have an adequate volume so that you may receive the other person. If the volume is too low you will not the person call you and if the volume is too high, you will receive a distorted unintelligible signal. The volume control also houses the on/off power switch if you turn it all the way to the left it will then disable and shut off the citizens band transceiver. "
