"Hi, this is Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we're are going to be making a variety of versatile Halloween centerpieces. In order to have a centerpiece with the best eye appeal you need to have different heights for the things in your centerpiece. If you are using votives in your centerpiece that are already different heights you have no problem, because the height is established by the base for the votives. But, if you don't have that height already established and you have stemmed glass that it the same height there are several options that you can do to establish different heights in your base. Once your base is securely, your floral circle is securely on your base, you can do a couple of things to change the height. One thing you can do before you secure it is to put your piece on there, whether you're using a votive or a stemmed glass or a tapered candle, trace around it and then actually cut it out so that this will sit down in your floral circle. That would give it some depth. Another thing you can do is to cut off a piece of your floral block, big enough for the bottom of whatever it is that you're using, and secure it to your floral circle so that you have another height for something to sit on. Another thing you can do is to double it up, of course you want it bigger than this, but you can double it up, then you'd have a hole for one height, this for another, and double for another. Or, you could simply add a smaller circle to this in the center and put a piece in the middle and some around. That's very appealing to the eye when you have things in threes and in triangles. So, however it is that you establish the height for your centerpiece, it looks nice if you have a grouping of three in some kind of a triangle to form it. So, remember that when you're making your centerpiece, you want to have established different heights for your centerpiece, whether you're using a floral circle or using a floral block or just using different heights of your votives."
