"Hi, I'm Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to turn an ordinary human face into a cat face for Halloween. Okay, let's get this face ready to paint. The first thing you want to do is to make sure that your face is completely clean free from any kind of oils or dirt or anything else. So wash your face really clean, including your neck and your ears. Do a real good job of it with nice warm soapy water and then make sure it's really dry. And then use some kind of cold cream or light lotion; you want something to put a light film on your face so that the make-up is not absorbed into your face. Because regardless of the kind of make-up you use you don't want it to get into your pores and into your skin. Especially places on children where you wouldn't think to put it like their eye lids even up into the eye brows and up into your hair line. If you are going to put make-up on your neck make sure you put a little bit of cold cream or light cream on your neck and also your ears. If you are going to paint the ears of course you want to make sure any earrings are removed. And then before get started painting your face you will want to get all of your hair or your child's hair or your subject's hair completely off of their face. You can always use the hair later as part of your costume but for now for painting your face you want it clean, you want it light and moisturized and you want the hair off of your face. Now we are ready to paint."
