"Hi, I'm Ginny with Simply Beautiful Crafts on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to turn an ordinary human face into a cat face for Halloween. There are several different ways to make your own make-up for face painting. The methods that I am going to show you go with a base of cold cream or shortening. These are especially good to use for children because they wash off easily and the kids can help you make it, which is fun also. So you need some cold cream or some shortening, something to stir it with, some measuring spoons, something to put it in, water, food coloring and corn starch. If you are going to use cold cream as a base you are going to need one and a half teaspoons of cold cream and three teaspoons of corn starch. You will mix that in and add one and a half teaspoons of water. One you have that to a consistency then you add your food coloring. If you are going to use shortening as a base you do a two to one ratio of shortening. Two tablespoons of shortening to four tablespoons of corn starch. Mix that to the consistency that you like when it's nice and smooth and put in your food coloring. So again we have two different ways of making your own make-up either using cold cream or corn starch as a base. Have fun."
