"If you start any hobby, it's kind of difficult to do it all on your own, you need help, and if you're into astronomy it can be kind of bewildering to get started. That's why we recommend you find a local astronomy club to help you out. There's always plenty of people there, they are friendly, knowledgeable, more than willing to show you their telescopes, their equipment, what works for them, help you find your way around the sky. You probably won't find an astronomy club in your local phone book, that's where you use the Internet. Just Google the area that you are in, astronomy club and you'll probably come up with a list not far from you. If all else fails, if there's a university near you and they have an Astronomy Department, especially if they have a planetarium observatory, those guys would know how to get in touch with the local amateurs, is a most helpful and help you along this journey in your life learning about the night sky, which is a wonderful hobby, it's great to participate in."
