"We've just adhered the designer paper to our cardstock, and now we're going to tie the bow. Again, I like to be generous with my ribbon, so I’m going to cut myself a piece about 12 inches long. Here, we're using a nice taffeta ribbon. I'm going to cut both my edges so they come to a point. Everyone always asks me, "Janet, what's the easiest way to tie a bow?" Well I'm past military and I'm a sailor, so I know how to tie a knot, but this is a trick I like to tell everyone. When you place your ribbon around your cardstock, you’re going to go right over left, left over right, and then you pull that down so your ribbon lays sort of flat. You take your longest finger, you hold that ribbon in the middle down, you then again go right over left, and pull it. Before it gets tight, you just let go and you're just going to tweak it a little so your knot lays nice and flat just like that. That's all there is to it to tying a bow. I just happen to cut that one right, but normally I would just do a final trim. Trim up my 2 edges so they're not frayed at the end. The last thing we need to do is just a little adhesive on both sides of that. Again, lining this up with my grid paper. I'm going to place this down and my Valentine's card is ready to go. Just like your loved ones, they'll enjoy getting this card in the mail or by hand for Valentine's day. Hope you enjoy it."
