"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley, for Expert Village, and I'm going to show you how to make a Thanksgiving Day centerpiece using all of the little things that I had laying around my house that I have been enjoying all month long. You can purchase things like this at pretty much any crafts store or discount home store, and they really are a lot of fun to shop for. I have my little pilgrims that I love so much. They're carved out of wood, and then the matching Indians, and then I have this turkey. And I didn't actually buy all of this at the same place or at the same time. These little leaves. I actually bought these guys at a discount home store, and this I bought just at a craft store, and they're basically just branches, leaves, and some dried fruits. And these, believe it or not, I bought at the dollar store. These were a dollar each. I have this, I have the gourd, and I have some other ones scattered around my house, and that is a really great way to save money when you're decorating your house for the holidays. Hit the dollar stores, nothing wrong with that. Okay, so basically what we're going to do is we're going to take our branches and, depending how big your table is, you are going to want to - that's going to basically determine how big your centerpiece is going to be. If you have a larger table, well then you can obviously go larger with your centerpiece. If it's a little smaller, more intimate dinner, then just use fewer decorations and that's fine as well. But I'm going to have a big table for Thanksgiving so I'm going to go ahead and use all of my things here. And I'm going to start with the branches, and you basically, that will be the frame, my branches. So you put some there, and some there, and these apples didn't actually come in the branches, but they have these little picks, and these were very inexpensive, and I'm just going to stick them in there like that. And my turkey, which is very cute, as you can see it is made out of a pumpkin and a gourd, and some leaves, and that's going to be the center of my centerpiece, like that. And then I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to take my pilgrims and put one on either side, I think, like this. Any play around with you, however it feels best for you and however it looks best on your table is fine. I'm going to take my Indians like that, take my gourd, then I think I'm going to put it there, and my pumpkin like that. And then these are leaves, and you buy these, again, at the crafts store, and they come in a bag. And you can just kind of scatter them, and, again, I have these all over my house, and it really makes it feel like Fall and like Thanksgiving. Play around with it, however you like it, and there you have it...a very lovely Thanksgiving Day centerpiece that you can arrange in just a few minutes using things you have just laying around your house. Thank you so much for joining us and Expert Village, I'm Karina Fraley."
