"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and tonight we're talking about Halloween safety and trick or treating. If you have a Halloween party where you have younger children, you're going to want to remember that toddlers, children under 3, really have to have special consideration in the party favors that you use, the candy that you serve, and also the food that you serve. Popcorn is a choking hazard. It's a favorite for Halloween, but you really want to be careful that you don't give a toddler any sort of popcorn, any sort of hard candy that can get caught in their throats, and also balloons. If you want to decorate your house for Halloween, just skip the balloons if you're going to have young children in your house. Really don't even have any out on your porch, because you're going to have so many kids in varying ages coming up to your door that you wouldn't want a child grabbing a balloon and then choking on it later. Just keep these things in mind. Also, if you're making any projects, make sure that you use age appropriate supplies and nothing that's a choking hazard. These just help you insure that you have a very happy and safe Halloween. Thanks for joining us on Expert Village. I'm Karina Fraley."
