"Let's look at how to change the battery in a completely in-the-canal hearing aid. Here we have the battery door, and there is a small notch at the end of the door, put your finger nail under that notch and give it a gentle tug and that will open the battery door. And as you can see there's the battery. To remove the battery just simply lift it out. To put the battery back in, you need to make sure that the battery is in the correct orientation. So, you see the plus sign on one side of the battery and the ring on the other side of the battery. In this hearing aid it's very hard to determine which side or it's very hard to visualize the plus sign, it's etched in the door but it's very hard to see. The easiest way to determine the orientation of the hearing aid for this hearing aid will be the notch in the battery door, or the ridge. And that will tell you what side the ring goes on. And then you just slide it in. And then close the door and snap it shut. "
