"Hi, I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and we are making Halloween theme placemats. Now, we are making candy corn no sew placemats. Basically, you are going to cut your fabric, double the length of your placemat. I'm just using this natural cotton that I bought, I have a bunch of it lying around I use it all the time different projects. One thing you are going to want to remember whenever working with fabric if you ever want to run it through any wash cycle you really do want to do that before you create your project. Because, otherwise if you don't do it through appropriate wash and dry cycle when you do it later on your going to have shrinking, stretching, and scrunching and all of that. So, go ahead and run your fabric through to whatever cycle is recommended. Then put your cotton in the middle and have your edges that are already ironed about three quarters of an inch all the way around and we are going to fold these and the fuse them together. So, just give yourself enough room and measure so that you have nice clean edges along the perimeter. And, next I'm going to show you how to use the iron on fusing."
