How to Embellish Felt Halloween Placemats

"Hi. I'm karina fraley for expert village and we are making halloween themed placemats. so we've made our fun foam placemat and now we're going to move on to felt. okay, so the first step that you're going to do is you're going to cut out your felt to whatever size you want and then you're going to cut out whatever embellishments you want. and then you're going to back whatever embellishments you want with some iron on adhesive. now i already put the adhesive on most of my trim just to have it ready to go but i left this little piece and i'm going to show you how to do it. so basically it's, this is just a sheet of glue with some wax paper on the back and you're going to iron this underneath your transfer on to first one side of your fabric and then whatever piece you want to stick on to it. so i just cut a little piece here and basically you are going to put down your glue side down so that the wax paper part is up on top and they you're just going to hold it and then iron it. and hold it down for about ten seconds in one spot. and then you let it cool off for about ten seconds and then after it cools off you basically peel off the wax paper. and you're left with the sticky side on your fabric and this you're then going to iron on to your other piece. and there you have it. as you can see it's very simple but it's very halloween style. i love it. i love it that it's simple and i'm going to embellish it as simply. i went out and bought these little masks. i bought a couple of different ones at the end of halloween season last year so i got them deeply discounted and i'm just going to attach them to my different placemats and at the end of the evening all of my guests get to take one home."
