How to Fuse Felt Christmas Frames

"Hi! I'm Karina Fraley for Expert Village and today I'm showing you how to make a felt photo frame ornament for your Christmas tree. The next step after cutting out your 2 sqaures, is you're going to take one of your squares and take some fuable webbing. You're going to want a pretty good thickness. They do come in a variety of thicknesses. Some are very, very thin. This is actually shade fusing. I went ahead and I bought it because I like the stiffness. You're basically just going to cut out around your square, and then you're just going to trim it up a little bit because you don't want it to hang over the sides. You're going to need a thin dry little pres cloth. A little cotton napkin or a little press cloth is fine, but make sure that you don't wet it. Also, follow the directions on whatever fusing you buy. Some of them do require wet cloths for steam. This one doesn't. I'm going to go ahead, I’m going to take one of my squares, and I'm going to put the shiny side down of the fusing for this particular brand. It's going to go down onto the back of my felt. Then you're going to take the cloth. Set the iron for a wool setting, and then press it down for about 10-15 seconds. You're going to want to make sure that you test your fabric before you use the fusing. It might not work on some depending on what kind of fabric you use. Just go ahead and give it a nice press. I'm just going to trim off that little bit there so that it's all nice and even. Next, we're going to move onto the next step."
