Series Summary

No matter how many great decorations you have on your Christmas tree, it will still look unfinished without an ornament on the top. Whether it is a star, a snowman or an angel, that last ornament says a great deal about the tree and the people decorating it. All this pressure may drive you to spend a hefty hunk of change for this key decoration. But here at Expert Village, we are now going to show you how to create a distinctive tree-topper that doesn't cost a thing!

In this series of Christmas crafts videos, our diy ornament expert will demonstrate how to make a gold angel for the top of your Christmas tree from basic household items. She begins by discussing the materials you will need, then shows you how to create a pattern, then use that pattern as a guide to cutting shapes out of fabric. Next, you glue the angles to a paper backing and then attach them to each other. Finally, you attach your three angels to your tube base and put them on your Christmas tree. A fun and easy crafts project for the whole family.

"Hi, I'm Katalin, the creator of Creative English in Hungary, and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I'm going to show you how to make ornaments to the top of the Christmas tree. First of all, you can use three objects. One is the toilet tissue roll. The other one is a clothes peg, or you can even use a cork. Of course, you can be more creative, and find more objects to put the things on. You need something that can actually go on the top of the Christmas tree. First of all, we need to paint this roll, so let's use something to protect your table, and you will need some green paint for it, and a little bit of water."
