on 1/20/2009 I saw a video a couple of weeks ago in which it was shown how to attach your analog camcorder to your vcr and then hook up the vcr to a digital camcorder. It worked great but now I can't find the video, does anyone know where it might be? Thanks.

"In this clip, I'll explain what you need to do to convert your old VHS tapes to DVD. Well, for starters, obviously, you'll need your old VHS tapes. I have a bunch of them, tied, right here. Also, obviously, you'll also need a bunch of DVDs. So, that's here. Then, the other obvious ones (needs) are the VCR used to play your VHS tapes and your computer used to capture them along with the right software. If you don't actually have any software, editing software, capturing or DVD authoring software, you can usually get some for free. There's some, one specifically, that is bundled with Windows and Macintosh systems. So you can get those for editing and for DVD authoring. You can download trial versions, which are usually fully functional trial versions, for 30 days from the website. So, you just have to search around and find one of those. Also, they are all pretty similar, so you can just kind of take your pick and choose one. Then you are also going to need a way to convert the footage from your VCR to your computer and digitize it. There's two options. One involves using a camcorder, and if you don't have one of those, you might have an analog capture card. However, if you don't have the card or if you don't have either of them, buying the card is probably the cheaper option. You probably can pick one up for about twenty dollars. So, it is not too expensive. Otherwise, you might be able to borrow a camcorder from someone that you know, because they are pretty common now. So, those are the basic things that you'll need. Oh, and the cables of course, which should come with the camera. You just have your fire wire, which is this long guy, right here. Then you have your composite video and audio cables used to connect the VCR to the analog capture card. That is what you'll need to convert your footage from VHS to DVD."
