"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you to make these pepperminty candy cane cookies. Now that our cookies has cooled entirely chances are you are probably not going to sit down and eat them all at once. So we need to talk about storage. How best to store these cookies so that they are going to last a few days or even last even more in a few days if you plan to ship them out to friends and relatives or changing them at a cookie exchange. So once they completely cooled you can put them in a resealable plastic container. If you are going to give them away to people I would recommend using disposable ones and then you can just put them in the storage container so that they are ready to give. You can of course increase the attractiveness of this by using colored saran wrap perhaps on top or by just adding a bow or some ribbon. One thing to note because although they are sturdy cookies they are a little bit more delicate because of the curve if you are going to ship them to anybody you have to very careful. So you want to put in some popped popcorn not Styrofoam popcorn to use as a cushion material you want to pack them a little bit more tightly and probably put some wax paper in between. Now if you are just making these to keep to yourself and perhaps any guests that you have over I recommend having a nice glass display stand for your cookies. Then you can just put them in the stand and let every formation you want mix them up with other cookies and they are ready for when you have company. Now because these use a really nice strong flavoring the peppermint extract, the flavor will continue to develop even after you baked them. So when you come back to them in another day they are going to taste even better than at first."
