"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make these peppermenty candy cane cookies. The final step in forming our candy cane cookies is to form the actual cane. Now it helps that you already have the twists onto the cookie sheet. So you want to pinch the bottom together a little bit and you want to pinch that top together as you're gently folding it over. And probably give yourself just a little bit more room to work with. You want to do it when it's already lying down because the easiest way to see the shape and you want to be careful not to be unrolling it when you're forming it. And also be careful not to break it. You want to keep the nice twisted shape and you want to make sure that it isn't going to untwist while you're baking it. So this is the only part that is a little bit tricky, particularly some of them where maybe one color is a little bit thicker than the other. This one you really the importance of making sure everything is the same size, it makes it easier to work with. You just want to have this go over like that and that is when I originally twisted it, there weren't that many twists to each cane and that's because we're still going to work with it a little bit more. So now you can see our nice candy cane shapes and we're about ready to go into the oven. "
