"Hello, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to set your table for Thanksgiving Day dinner. Now that we have our place settings down and our flatware and we know which fork we need for each dish. It is time to talk about the rest of the table or at least what you are going to be using to serve your food. You want a variety of different serving dishes you can have vegetables in bowls, you need to have some serving platters for at least for the turkey. Depending on what types of food you're going to have on your side dishes that will determine what type of serving dishes you have. So one other more important ones would be a platter of some sort. Now this is a pretty big platter it can either be for a turkey or you can also put vegetables on here if you are having a roasted vegetable dish. So a nice square platter is good and you can see this one also is rather neutral, it's going to go with a lot of different types of dishes. Because it doesn't have any color to it, it just has a nice beaded edge and this is going to be very versatile. Now here you have a round platter and this could also be used and you can put a pie on it to serve, it's going to add some interest if you're going to serve something in a baking dish. So you have a nice baking dish that you can put your sweet potato soufflé or something of that sort, this is also a added layer of protection before putting it on the table. Then of course you have a bowl a bowl is going to be essentially where you can put your stuffing in here, if you have mash potatoes you can serve them out of this bowl. You will also need other types of serving pieces such as a gravy boat, you will need salt and pepper shakers, if you are going to have a dessert course with coffee then you also need a sugar bowl and creamer."
