"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make this delicious pecan pie. When the pie is done you want to make sure to use potholders to remove it from the oven. You want to pull the tray out so you can more easily grab it. Now the recipe calls for it be baked for an hour and fifteen minutes. But depending on your oven and also what type of pie pan that you are using, the temperature or time might need to be less. This is a darker non stick pie pan so therefore my pie cooked in an hour instead of an hour and fifteen minutes. If you were using a glass or ceramic pie dish the temperature or the time would also need to be adjusted and if you are using aluminum where it's going to reflect a lot of the heat then you need to have the pie in for a little bit longer. You can tell a pie is done because it is solidified, also the crust has gotten brown, although you don't necessarily have to get it quite this brown. You can see by tilting the pie that it's not going anywhere, that is pretty solid and it's cooked all the way through."
