How to Use Sparklers Safely

"Hi this is John. Now let’s talk about something everybody knows a little bit about. These are called sparklers. Children love to want to touch these and have these in their hands. It just takes a few seconds of burning and what will happen is all this right here, this is all the material that will be burning on the sparkler, but you also want to watch right here when it gets down to end. The child holds this and they get near the end right here and they touch this, this will burn right down to their finger and can burn their finger pretty seriously. When it gets low watch out to make sure to hold it at the very end, like this. When it is finished burning, you need to have a proper disposal so don’t throw this out in the grass or somewhere. What may happen is somebody may be walking out there in their bare feet later in the year or whatever and can have this in their foot just like a needle. Just take and throw it in a trash can or whatever once it is finished burning and you will be okay. Now I will show you how it works. "
