"My name is John Mays. Some people refer to me as “Evil John Mays.” I’m a makeup effects artist and I’m here to demonstrate some makeup techniques for Expertvillage.com. Here’s the end result. It took about an hour to do with the entire process. We’ve got a large appliance in the eye, two sets of stitches, and a screw embedded in the face. You put a coating of dirt on the face in general to kind of tie everything together. You’ve got alcohol based makeup here. We’ve got appliances. We’ve got airbrush work. Pretty much all of your standard kit on anything that’s going to be movie type makeup. Bear in mind, this is different than theatrical makeup; movie makeup is a whole kind of monster. Your theatrical makeup is viewable best at 10 feet, your movie makeup is viewable best right on top of it. I want to thank you guys for checking out this video. I hope you find it beneficial and look around at other places on this same website; there’s a lot of new information out there. My name is “Evil” John Mays. "
