"Hi, my name is John Mays. Some people refer to me as “Evil” John Mays. I’m a makeup effects artist and I’m here doing a demonstration for Expertvillage.com. I’m using the last little bit of this to blend in this bandage and blend in the appliance. I’ll come back with some coloring later to get everything to look just a little bit more finished. Now when you get it on here, kind of brush it down. That’s one of the nice things about this gelatin stuff, is that it blends very flat into the skin so we can get a nice smooth finish Now you can use brushes for this, but I’ve gotten to where I prefer these cotton swabs because they are disposable and this stuff will really gunk up your brushes. You can go ahead and put it in a hot bath to get it back out, but over time it just works out far better to use disposable. We’ve added a little more of the stuff that is warm to get what was in the boat here liquefied again and weave it in. Now since she’s a ghoul anyway, a little scarring, a little bit of variation is really not going to mess the effect up that much, but you still want to do a pretty good job and be happy for the little accents that come along.
