"Have you ever had a gift wrapping emergency and felt tempted to wrap your present in some newspaper. Well it's a great idea the trick is though is to make it not look like a horrible afterthought, but instead something that looks so cute that will make you kinda wish that you ever bought any wrapping paper to begin with. I'm going to show you how to wrap a present using the funny papers and take it to the next level. So it really looks like a thoughtful expression that you will be proud to bring to the party and instead of something that looks like, you know, an emergency. So for this project we are going to need the funny papers and some cling film from your kitchen. We'll need scissors and tape of course. And a piece of colored paper. And I like to squint at the comics and pick out the color that is the most dominate or something that would be a good accent. So I'm going to use this raspberry colored tissue paper today, but construction paper, scrapebooking paper, a color of typing paper, you know that bright copy paper would work. And then of course you'll need a bit of curling ribbon. You can also use twine if you have it or maybe some colored yarn. But I like having something with some color so it will really have pizazz. Next we'll wrap this present."
