Materials for Valentine's Day Window Card

"Hi. I'm Amy Warkentien from Expert Village and we're going to make a window card today. We're going to take our piece of card paper or construction paper if you'd like, and fold it in half. Not the hot dog way? But, the hamburger way. So we've folded it in half and we're going to make a window. So, this is the front of our card. So, to make the window, it's kind of hard to get into the middle so what we're going to do is take a pencil and just kind of lightly push through the paper. See my fingers are separated so that I'm not going to poke myself. And you want to make sure that you have adult supervision because if you accidentally hit yourself then you want to have a parent nearby. So, now that there's a hole, we're sticking our scissors in. And you could make some kind of box or I'm going to make a heart shaped hole in my card. And it is kind of awkward so just wing it and it'll come out fine eventually. So, now that we have our heart shaped window done we're going to move to our next step. And that would be putting what's going to be behind the heart."
