Vanilla Icing Recipe: Decorate Christmas Cookies

"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to show you some really quick and easy icing recipes and how to decorate holiday cookies. You can see right now I've got a nice really thick consistency. That is a little too thick because that is not going to spread on anything. It is just really really hard. We'll just add a little splash of milk to that and my splash I seriously mean splash; that much. Probably another maybe a teaspoon or little less. You see it just loosens right up. The reason I use a fork is because the tines on a fork work really really well to knock out all of the bumps in there and also to kind of aerates it as you stir it. You want to make sure you get all the powder sugar off the sides and you see now this wonderful thick simple icing."
