How To Use Latex In Halloween Makeup

"Hi! This is Cable. I am here to talk about some tricks and tips for Halloween makeup. Another great material to use around Halloween is liquid latex. Liquid latex is pretty inexpensive. You can find it at theatrical supply stores, and you can order it online from a whole bunch of different suppliers. Now liquid latex has a lot of ammonia. It is kind of sticky, so make sure you have a pretty good source of ventilation around you. A good way to apply latex is with a foam wedge sponge; you either pour it on the sponge or dip it into a container, and basically stipple it on an area of the skin. Depending on your pain tolerance, you may want to avoid areas with a lot of body hair on them. Apply the latex in several thin layers, rather than fewer thick layers, because it can take longer to dry in thick layers. The body heat will help it to dry faster. You could also use a hair dryer to accelerate the drying time, and as you can see, as the latex dries it tends to become clear or translucent. Also, as latex dries, it tends to shrink, and therefore pulls the skin together; it is great for making scars and wrinkle defects on the skin. "
