The holiday is usually celebrated by throwing parties, dressing in costumes of a silly or ghoulish appearance, drinking spirits, and eating candy and sweets. Although this represents a somewhat grown-up experience of Halloween, much of the celebration is geared toward children, who go door-to-door, yelling “trick or treat” and hoping for as much candy as they can haul.
A large part of the experience of Halloween, whether you’re young or old, is the opportunity to dress up in the most outrageous costume time, money, and courage can afford. Many people take pride in the outlandishness or creativity of their Halloween costumes, and many remember their childhood costumes well into adulthood.

One of the first things you need to decide is what the makeup is going to be for. Is it for a party, are you going to go trick or treating, are there going to be kids around? What is appropriate for this makeup? One of things that you can consider is, how dirty do you want to get? There are various materials that you will need to know how to use before you put it on your face. Some choices for your make up, before you begin, as it can get very messy is, how messy can you get? There is always the choice of going with something not very messy at all, but can be a lot of fun, a wig and a fake facial hair. Other choices would be simpler grease paint makeup, much like stage makeup, and also powders. These two are easier to work with and they are not so messy. On the other hand, if you are not worried about getting your clothes messed up, you can always go with fake bloods and waxes, and some more of the gory stuff. "

on 8/2/2008 I was wondering if you could answer a question. I heard that the makeup for movies like X-men used air-brushing to get an even all over treatment, is this true? If not, how can I make the effects make up more even and less streaky and last longer. Any product recommendations would be great!
