"I want to take a few minutes to talk about why you collect Hallmark ornaments. Collecting ornaments is just like collecting Baseball cards, coins, or any hobby that you might get into. The one thing that you never want to do is start collecting these ornaments strictly to resell them. Their monetary value does increase in time, but that shouldn't be the reason why you collect them. You should collect them because you love them. I like to collect them so they're part of a tradition. I can buy ornaments; like this one for my daughter; and then, when she gets her own house, and she has her own tree, I can pass these ornaments on to her. You also want to be very careful about recording your ornaments; knowing exactly what you have, and what the value is. Check with your Insurance company to make sure that these are covered, because it would be a shame if you had a fire. You want to make sure you have extra insurance to cover your losses. "
