"Hi, my name is Courtney on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip I'm going to show you how to make a woven basket to hold all the Valentines we get on Valentine's Day. We're gonna start by taking two different colored pieces of construction paper and you need to fold them in half and once they've been folded in half you're going to fold them in half again and cut along that second fold you made. You're going to do this for both pieces of construction paper. Once we've cut them you're going to have four pieces like this. You're going to take two of the pieces and you're going to stack them on top of one another and then turn one of them 90 degrees so that we have the fold this way and a fold this way. The next thing you're going to do is draw a line with a pencil where this piece of construction paper ends and then you're going to draw a line on the blue piece right here. Then you're going to freehand some lines this way and we're going to cut these line in just a minute. Then you're going to open it up and again draw some lines. Now we're going to cut on these lines. Next we're going to cut the green piece and on this one we're going to need to cut on the first fold that we made and then we're going to cut on the lines that we drew. We're going to stop when we get to the pencil line we made across the top. Now we're going to take and we're going to weave these lines we made in and out of the blue. Now that we've woven our green piece with our blue piece we're going to add a little bit of glue to make this last piece, these two green strips stick down. Then we're going to take the back part of the green piece we cut and put it on the back so that it's lined up with front green piece. And you can either glue this down or to make it a little stronger I'm just going to add a couple of staples along this edge here and just along this edge here. Next so that our top piece looks a little more like a heart we're going to round the edges. Last thing we're going to do is add a handle and I'm going to cut it from the other half of one of my pieces of paper from earlier. We're going to glue one part of the handle to the front and one part to the back. Now we have our Valentine basket."
