How to Pick Boots for a David Bowie Costume

"This is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village, and I'm here to talk to you about how to select boots for your David Bowie costume. Now, a very important part of the costume is the boots. When you're getting boots you want to make sure that you can actually stand up in them and walk around. Otherwise, it's not going to be a very costume experience. The boots that I've selected I found at a costume store and they fit me very well, which is very important because I have big feet and if I were in small boots I would be in horrible pain. They're bright red, which is what you want to go for. You don't want boots that are too classy because that isn't the point of glam rock. You want stuff that looks like it's going to jump out at you, and because they have a nice shiny surface they're going to stand out all the more. Another thing to consider is heel height. You'll notice that these have some height, not too much. David Bowie's boots always had a good amount of heel to them, but if you're not used to wearing heels like most of us men are, then you don't want to be too high up, otherwise you could twist your ankle. One last thing to consider is your socks. You don't want your socks to be too low down. Otherwise, they're going to fall down inside your boot. They're going to chafe your leg, so make sure you get really, really long songs for the occasion. There are different places where you can find boots. Costume stores are the best places, of course. Sometimes there are drag queen stores. That's a place you can look if you can find one. Now, if you can't find a costume store, you can look online. You can find boots like these probably cheaper, but you don't get the benefit of being able to try them on. Still, it's a good option to have."
