"Hi this is David Jackel on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about researching your rock star costume. So you want to make a rock star costume before you can do that you have to figure out just what exactly it's going to look like. In order to that you should do some research check online look at articles on different musicians your interested in. Think about the style your interested in and do searches on that you can also search for magazines if your interested in something more vintage. I have a magazine here from actually 10 years ago you can take a look in the magazine to get ideas for costumes. It will give you a sense of different kinds of rock star outfits that are out there and what kind of materials go into them. There have been rock stars since the 1950's so there's many different kind of styles you have to choose from. Anything from more a sub do from the early 60's to something from more hippy like late 60's, 70's you got the glam rock the punks and then the 80's you got all that new wave stuff. And let's not forget the hair bands and stuff like that and then the 90's there's the grunge rockers so there is a whole range of different kinds of costumes you can think of. It's important to do your research before hand because once you start to build a costume you don't want to realize that you mis matched the styles that you have a costume that doesn't make any sense. Like the top part is punk and bottom is hippy that would just look ridiculous so do your research ahead of time."
