"Hi, I'm Gary for Expert Village. Now we're going to make our dye, what we're going to use to color the eggs. The way we make our dye is we put into a pot the outer skins of onions. We could use red onions or yellow onions for this. We're going to fill it up, fill the pan up with water. The water should be enough that it should cover the eggs when they are placed inside. So you just have to make sure that you put enough water in so that the entire egg is covered by the dye that is going to be created from boiling the skins of the onion. So, we put this onto the stovetop for about 5 minutes boiling and then we just let it steep overnight. We just let it sit overnight and this is going to create a very rich colored dye and this is going to be used to put the eggs in and to color them. Also while the eggs are inside the dye they're going to be, we're going to put some different types of leaves and flowers on them to give them the image onto the egg once they're in the dye."
