"We're going to go back to the lower abs and what we're going to do now is called flutter kicks. So Steve once again is going to lay back and he's going to tuck his hands under, he's going to keep his legs straight and he's just going to chop his legs. There you go. Flutter kicks, sometimes called scissor kicks as well, concentrates on the lower abs. It's a great abdominal workout. He's keeping his feet from touching the ground and he's not coming up so high that he's taking away from the resistance on his abs and that's the important part that he wants to keep in tune with this area. It's a good exercise, you can see he's breaking a bit of a sweat and what he's doing is keeping his upper torso up and his neck off of the ground. That also puts an amount of resistance on the upper abs as well. So he's trying to hit as much of his abdominal and core area as possible. Go ahead and rest for just a second. Once again, lower abs, and he's keeping his feet in a good range of motion to where they're not kicking off the ground so as not cheating himself and they're not way up here to where he's taking the resistance off of his abdominal area. Head and upper torso up and he's really completed it good, so we'll go on five, four, three, two, one; flutter and/or scissor kicks."
