"Hi, my name is Virgil Black and I'm here at Ramp Riders Skate Park on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to explain some sliding tips. Basically that's the actual act of sliding the ledge, balances, variations in the type of copping. This surface right here is considered the copping. Sometime there are different shaping to it, which would be like round copping. Which will actually have a higher elevation towards the actual ledge, which copping it would take a different balance point. Cause you would land on the side of the copping your peg would actually connect but at the same time there is a different center of balance. Cause your bike will actually wand to kind of lean on you, before you go and start attempting this grind or just anything up there you have to think about the type of materials which is made out of. If you are looking at say a wooden ledge or a concrete ledge you have to take a look at the surface and make sure it's smooth enough in order to allow you to grind and be safe when we're landing. The smoother the ledge the faster the grind which can also be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing."
