"Hi, my name is Virgil Black and I'm here at Ramp Riders Skate Park on behalf of Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to explain to you the basics of a feeble grind. Feeble grind is you have a back peg and a front peg usually, the front peg is usually for kind of a safety mechanism. Usually what it is, is you land on your front tire on the ledge and you place your back tire on the actual edge of the ledge in which causes you to grind. Usually you can stall this trick before you begin to grind it which is a basic way to learn this trick without taking too far too soon. Our BMX bike typically you have two pegs as minimum, these are your pegs right here, front and rear. These are used typically for grinding a lot of grinding sometimes used for balance tricks, other variations such as that. These play a key role in grinding usually you bunny hop which is lifting up the front wheel and the back wheel and landing on the ledge. Usually put the amount of speed in a certain angle you can get them to grind. Grinding is actually sliding motions of the pegs on a certain obstacles whether it would be a ledge which is what we are standing next to at a skate park. Or sometimes if you are riding street you might find obstacles of this source out there that you might be able to do the same thing on. Sometimes a little rough, sometimes smoother it all depends on the amount of surface on it rather it being rough or smooth. Grinding is basically a sliding motion on which you hop onto the ledge whether it would be a feeble grind or Smith grind and you slide across the ledge with nothing else touching but your pegs."
