"WALLY REULE: Hi. My name is Wally Reule. I'm a personal trainer, owner of Sedona Fit, and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. This next exercise is going to be for my abdominals, for my hip flexors, these muscles that move my hips forward like this. Primarily, it's like a sit-up except that I need to be alternating with one leg under here with a sit-up, with a crunch, one knee up, one foot on the floor, and one straight forward. And then, I'm going to be coming up into a crunch while I'm raising this other leg. You can see that I'm not pulling my hip forward like this to stretch the neck and just back here like this. I'm breathing out as I'm coming up, pulling in the abdominals, and then I will switch to the other side with the same movement. Just a very short movement is all I need to engage my abdominals."
