"I'm Wayne Villeneuve, Fourth Degree Certified Instructor for Expert Village. Here's a formal sequence that you can practice as a moving meditation, as well as for self-defense. The next short sequence starts with a step to the left, wider than shoulder width. Sweep your right hand upward and your left hand downward, crossing in front of the body. Now, form a left hand guard and step right as you perform a right hammer strike. Adjust your weight for a left front kick. Place your left foot behind your right foot, adjust your hands and weight for a right front kick. To repeat the series, step left wider than shoulder width, cross the hands in front of the body, right over left. Step right with a right hammer strike, adjust the weight and kick left. Set the foot behind the right, adjust your weight and hands for a right front kick. Here is the practical application of this sequence: Step wide left, right hand up, left hand down. Step forward with the right, right hammer strike, left front kick and then a right front kick. Step back to a cover."
