on 8/2/2008 Interesting follow-up to the center punch. Not a cross-punch, which can be anticipated, but a backfist with that lead hand. If the center punch is blocked, using that same hand to backfist just might surprise the opponent.

Video Transcript

"This is Master Yun Yang Wang from Wang’s Martial Art and on behalf of the Expert Village and this is one of our black belts, Ms. Esmeralda Sanchez and in this clip we’re going to demonstrate center punch and back fist. And notice the punching in the back fast by turning the body from horse riding stance to mountain climbing stance then make the actual reach. And this is the mountain climbing stance, the leg protects the groin area and the back fist adding the shoulder length and give the back fist a better position. Now we’ll demonstrate a center punch and a back fist when the opponent’s stepping punch and they’ll be blocking and grabbing hand and back fist. "
