"Hi, this is Todd Shawn Tei, sifu of Wing Chun Kung fu. We're going to continue on the Chum Kiu sticky hand drills. We're started off before with the Chum sau drill, so we're going to continue from there. From chum sau, you're going to go into the tan sau drill. Now as the person's punching, I'm going to shift into a tan sau punch. Now my tan sau hand, which is my right hand here, is going to punch. They're going to shift into a tan sau punch. Now their tan sau hand is going to punch, and we're going to repeat the motion back and forth. This drill you see we're shifting, I'm deflecting with tan and hitting, and they're deflecting with tan and hitting back. So again we're going to start out, 'cause we attach all these drills together, now we're just working on the first two. So the first one we started out was the pak to jum, now we're going to go right in from this punch, we're going to go right in to the tan sau punch drill. Tan sau punch and shift. When you start off the drill you start out in wu sau. I circle my hand around and I go into a pak sau. When I pak sau I want to make sure it's a small area that I'm pak sauing, so only a small distance, so I slap quick. Go right into the punch. So from here I come around, slap, go right into the punch. This is a basic drill that you can practice without the chum kiu drills to practice with a partner just for speed. I circle around, pak punch, and then go right into jum sau, right away. Now they can repeat the same drill with you circling around here, and you jum sau. Okay. Let's go through the drills again from jum sau. Jum sau circle, down here, no shifting yet, now shift, tan to punch. Those are the first two drills in the Chum Kiu sticky hand drills."
