In this section we'll go through the basic six deflections of Wing chun. Hi, this is Todd Shawn Tei, chief instructor of California Academy of Martial Arts located in Burbank California. To continue with my series of wing chun kung fu, we're going to start off on the eegie stance of wing chun. We're going to start out feet together, going to bend our knees, kick out our feet, shift, drop the weight into the hips. We're going to start out with basic blocks. We have wusau, paksau, tonsau, jumsau, bongsau, lopsau. Repeat on the other side, wusau, paksau, tonsau, jumsau, bongsau, lopsau. All these movements are deflections of wing chun and you want to go from one move to the other in a fluid motion. One, two, three, four, five, six, so these are just basic movements. You do left hand and then you go into it with the right hand. And then on the next clip, what we're going to do is we're going to go through each block separately and you'll see how to apply them.
