If you stand in this posture, what you're trying to do is you're trying to learn to relax in this posture, try not to be tense, but relax. Stand in the posture, relax in the posture, and simply breathe in and out. Breathe into the dan tian, breathe out. Breathe into the dan tian and breathe out. While you're doing your breathing exercise, really feel that you are a tree standing with the feet connected to the earth, the hands are tree branches and that you feel powerful, Okay? When you work your way up, you should be able to work your way up to ten, eleven, twelve minutes. Even more if you wish, in standing in this posture, standing like a tree. Okay? So, I'm going to stand, and I'm going to breather, in and out, feeling my feet, feeling my arms. When your arms get tired and you wish to finish this, go ahead and exhale and drop the hands down by your side and go back into the qu qi posture. Okay? So, once again, let's go from the qu qi posture. Qu qi posture, hands rise up, stand in the posture of standing like a tree for a couple of minutes. Work on relaxing the shoulders and not keeping them tense. After you've gotten to a point where your shoulders are hurting and you wish to rest again, exhale, and drop the hands back down into the qu qi."
