"TRAVIS WAACK: Okay, let's talk about the baseball pass. The baseball pass in basketball is, just what it sounds like, just like you're throwing a baseball. We gotta be careful of with baseball passes that you don't flick your wrist this way. You want to still throw it almost like you're throwing a football except your hand is not sideways. It's on top of the ball like this, and you're coming overhead just like a big baseball, just think of it as a big baseball. And again, your dominant foot forward. You're going to be using the baseball pass for long-court passes. So maybe you're taking the ball out of bounce and if--to give you an idea of how you want your feet positioned, I've lined up on this parallel line here. And my dominant foot is my left foot, so your legs are about a little bit more than shoulder-width apart, and you've got your knees bent in that sort of ready position and you're using your legs and you're throwing the ball just like a big baseball. You can even point your hand in the direction where you're going to be throwing almost like you're throwing a football. And you're going to use that when you're making further-down-the-court passes, half-court and three-quarter-court passes. Those types of long passes is when you're going to want to use the baseball pass. "
