"Once again we’re sailing across the wind on beam reach, our sails are out and we can turn a little further away from the wind and sail onto a broad reach, and that’s what we’re going to do next. So as I turn away from the wind, once again I let my sails out a little bit more. Now we’re sailing with the wind on a broad reach, if we fall off a little more we’ll be sailing exactly with the wind on what we call a run and that’s when we’re going in the exact same direction as the wind. You notice on a run, the sail begins to push against the shroud, there’s a standing rigging of the sail and that’s fine, we can help that out a little bit by putting a little pressure on our boom vang.
